England women’s football captain Leah Williamson is among global footballing stars of a Mondelēz International initiative celebrating female sporting stars – offering the chance for families to meet them as part of a major promotion, writes Neill Barston.

The new on and off-pack World Class Wins campaign is offering consumers ‘the chance to score big’ in winning a summer holiday as a star prize across its portfolio including Cadbury tablets and multipacks, and the brand’s biscuits as well as Maynard’s Bassett’s bags.

Among the stars joining Leah Williamson, are fellow international footballers Katie McCabe, Kadeisha Buchanan and Pernille Harder, with an additional prize being offered in meeting a chosen player on-pitch to celebrate the campaign.

The promotion is being run through participating packs, with entrants registering online at worldclass.cadburyfc.com and select the world-class player they’d like to meet. Shoppers will find out instantly if they’ve won one of our runner-up prizes, which include match tickets, signed shirts and Cadbury FC vouchers, with a focus on the world-class female athletes that influence the sport and supporters alike. For the top prize, the winners will be selected from a prize draw once the promotion ends.

Cadbury FC sees the pairing of the nation’s favourite chocolate brand with clubs up and down the country to, first and foremost, support the supporters. Acting as a partner rather than a sponsor, the initiative helps to empower the communities around the clubs, driven by the iconic glass and a half generosity that Cadbury is known for. Whether that’s gifting small and local businesses key advertising placements on the pitch or helping to build new stands for supporters to cheer on from – Cadbury FC is all about clubbing together to improve UK football for the fans.
