A new record for jelly wrapping

9th June 2011 – The MCH from Theegarten-Pactec sets a new record: 1,000 work cycles/minute for jelly in double twist wrapping. Jelly items are particularly sensitive. The reason for Theegarten-Pactec’ s success in wrapping jelly at such a high work cycle is due to the mature control and sophisticated mechanics of the MCH, a machine characterised by gentle handling of products and a continuous work process.

One advantage is the three part, rotating lower punch at the transfer point in the packing head. This extraction principle enables the processing of larger product tolerances. Because the MCH is a twin head machine, there are less product transfers between the packing heads. The large diameter of the feeding plate reduces the centrifugal forces that take effect on the product. The feeding plate is equipped with compressed air flow for handling sensitive products.

The MCH for hard candies, chocolate coated articles and jelly products has a modular design and offers in addition to double twist wrapping three further wrapping styles: protected twist, side twist and foil wrap. The machine allows an uncomplicated change of product sizes and wrapping styles without excessive down times.

Whether smooth, sticky or filled, the rotation speed of the feeding plate is controlled according to the characteristics of the product, and the speed of the inner plate can be controlled separately according to product requirements.

Broken products, twin products (sticking together) and product chips are rejected in the vibratory feeder (1, 2 or 3-step). Spliced products are also ejected.
