New events and returning favourites
In this next edition, new partners will join and three new events will be offered:
- Financial Training Course for Farmer Organizations and Cocoa Start-ups (4-5 February):
Designed for aspiring and established entrepreneurs, this two-day intensive course focuses on financial literacy tailored to the cocoa industry. Participants will gain essential insights into securing capital, risk management, and structuring impactful business pitches.
The course covers various funding options, from traditional loans to climate finance, providing actionable strategies to empower businesses and drive sustainable growth in the cocoa supply chain. If you’re an entrepreneur ready to take your business to the next level, this course is a must.
- Farmers Day (5 February)
This first Farmers’ Day at Chocoa will allow for a peer to peer exchange among cocoa farmers and gives farmers the opportunity to set the agenda for upcoming Chocoa editions. Farmers can have direct interactions with experts, relevant service providers and supporting organizations.
- Culinary Masterclasses (7 February):
These masterclasses cater to chefs, baristas and hospitality professionals, focusing on the use of fine cocoa ingredients in culinary arts, from savory dishes or gelato to innovative cocoa-based drinks and cocktails.
Returning Favorites
Chocoa 2025 will also see the return of its most successful events, including:
- European Markets Academy (February 4):
This course will offer participants from outside Europe the tools and insights needed to successfully enter the European market.
- Grand Diner du Chocolat (February 6):
A gourmet celebration at Hilton Amsterdam, where participants will enjoy an extraordinary dining experience crafted by a duo of renowned chefs; Michelin starred chef Enrique Limardo from Washington and Franz Conde from Hilton Amsterdam. This professional networking dinner will host over 215 industry leaders from around the world.
- Amsterdam Sustainable Cocoa Conference (ASCC) (February 6-7):
Held at the historic Effectenbeurszaal, this conference will cover crucial topics like de-commoditizing cocoa, invisible farmers and workers, carbon finance and future-proofing cocoa and chocolate.
The first day will tackle overarching challenges and opportunities across the cocoa supply chain, while the second day centres on the perspectives and priorities of cocoa producers. Tickets to the conference grant access to the Trade Fair, the Chocolate Makers’ Forum and include lunch and coffee breaks. - Chocolate Makers Forum (February 6-7):
An annual gathering where chocolate makers discuss the latest trends and challenges in the industry, sharing knowledge and strategies for market developments like Chocolate Tourism and Cocoa Quality.
- Chocoa Chocolate Festival (February 8-9):
A weekend celebration where around 8,000 chocolate enthusiasts will gather at Beurs van Berlage. The festival will feature tastings, entertainment and booths from global exhibitors, offering consumers a chance to explore and purchase diverse cocoa products.
