Confetti Snacks, the innovative and award-winning brand known for its vibrant and nutrient-dense upcycled veggie and fruit chips, has confirmed its expansion into around 900 Walmart stores across the United States. This significant milestone marks a major step in Confetti Snacks’ mission to make delicious and sustainable snacking accessible to a wider audience.
The group is noted for transforming imperfect produce into flavorful, crunchy snacks, offers a delightful range of vegetable and fruit chips that are not only visually appealing but also packed with nutrients. By upcycling unsellable yet perfectly edible produce, Confetti Snacks contributes to reducing food waste while providing a healthier snack alternative. The chips are baked using a low-heat method, ensuring that the vibrant colors and nutritional integrity of the produce are preserved.
Founded by Singapore-native entrepreneur Betty Lu, Confetti Snacks is a woman- and minority-owned brand dedicated to creating positive change through its products. “Our mission is to turn ‘imperfect’ produce into something beautiful and delicious, while also addressing critical issues like food waste and global hunger,” says Lu. “We are thrilled to partner with Walmart, a retail giant, to bring our snacks to more consumers who are seeking healthier, sustainable options.”
Confetti Snacks’ commitment to social responsibility extends beyond reducing food waste. The company actively collaborates with global humanitarian organizations such as the Red Cross, and food banks to provide hunger relief for food insecure communities. Through these partnerships, Confetti Snacks donates a portion of its high-fiber, nutrient-rich chips to communities in need, providing a shelf-stable, nutritious resource for regions facing food scarcity or environmental challenges.
The launch of Confetti Snacks in Walmart stores follows a series of successful expansions, including the brand’s recent debut in nearly 1000 T.J. Maxx and HomeSense stores across Europe. The overwhelming response to Confetti Snacks’ products demonstrates a growing global demand for snacks that are not only better for personal health but also for the planet.
“Our entry into Walmart stores is a testament to the increasing consumer demand for sustainable and nutritious snacks that do not compromise on taste,” adds Lu. “We are committed to delighting our customers with our unique flavours and vibrant chips, and we look forward to continuing our journey of making a positive impact through food.” The range can also be found on walmart.com and delivered to households around the country.
