Lyn Pitt, managing director of UK-based DT&G Limited, manufacturers of Finn chocolate coating and polishing equipment is the latest industry name to be added to speakers at our 2024 World Confectionery Conference.

She will be returning to this year’s event, which takes place on 12 September at the NHow Hotel in Brussels, having previously spoken at our show two years ago in the Belgian capital.

For this edition, Lyn will be focusing on a topic of designing smart manufacturing factories of the future, which stands as a topic that is of notable importance given the industry’s drive for ever greater levels of productivity and efficiency gains, often delivered against budget challenges.

Early bird visitor prices for this year’s World Confectionery Conference, continue throughout June, so make sure to register as soon as possible to take full advantage of these rates.

This year’s must-attend show, which places sustainability and innovation at its heart, also includes keynotes from Cargill, Ferrero, Caobisco, Tony’s Chocolonely, Mintel international insights group, and FMCG Gurus. In addition, the event also includes our centrepiece QandA session, and annual industry awards and reception, celebrating industry successes across the sector. As an added bonus experience, we are also offering a chocolate tasting experience in Brussels on 13 September that will round-off proceedings in style.

Notably, the event, which covers the complete value chain of the industry, also celebrates Confectionery Production magazine’s 90th anniversary this year, with our title continuing its mission to drive leading coverage across global confectionery and snacking markets.

For its part at this year’s conference, DT&G Limited, based in the Liverpool area, has a long tradition of supplying globally to the confectionery sector and has continually developed its equipment lines, supplying small to large-scale manufacturers around the world.

As its managing director Lyn explained, she followed her father into Banking, before joining the family engineering company and taking on her current role over 10 years ago, representing the business at trade and export events on a global level.

Keenly anticipating her return to the event, she said: “The loyal and highly skilled team at DT&G Ltd have been supplying and working with the sector for many years and understand all the challenges and changing trends.

“They have travelled globally installing and training producers, from Japan to USA. Supplying “turnkey” solutions, DT&G Ltd have taken the best of traditional engineering and incorporated advanced developments to showing commitment customers. Successful production and sustainable collaborations long into the future are supported by DT&G Engineers and the family within the business.”

Editor of Confectionery Production, Neill Barston, welcomed Lyn to the line-up for the event, which will cover the complete confectionery sector, from equipment and systems, through to key ingredients including cocoa supply chains.

“It’s a pleasure to see Lyn Pitt return to join us in a speaking capacity again at the World Confectionery Conference, where she will be offering some valuable insights into how technology can play a vital part within manufacturing environments. With the industry still facing a number of global tests, placing a focus on such issues is vital in delivering sustainable production practices of the future.”
