Hershey unveils ‘game-changing’ caramel Reese’s cup range

Hershey has unveiled what it has hailed as a ‘game-changing’ extension to its core Reese’s brand, as it lifts the lid on its latest Caramel big cup, writes Neill Barston.

As Confectionery Production has previously revealed, consumers have consistently stated that caramel flavours as being among the most sought after within sweets and snacks.

This was reflected in the extensive range of offerings that the business presented at this year’s Sweets & Snacks Expo in the US, with new product releases right across segments of the market.

“Next to peanut butter, caramel is the most requested combination with chocolate – and while Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups are already perfect, ask, and you shall receive,” said Emily Stover, Reese’s senior associate brand manager. “As the experts in chocolate and peanut butter deliciousness, we know what our fans want, and we’re delivering on that with the Reese’s Caramel Big Cup.”

Starting November 17, consumers across the US can enjoy standard and king size packages of the brand-new Reese’s Caramel Big Cup.

The company’s latest line comes in the wake of its third quarter results, that saw net sales of $3.03 billion, up 11% year-on-year, which the business hailed as an encouraging development.

“We remain on track to deliver our full-year sales and earnings commitments after delivering strong third-quarter seasonal sell-in and successfully implementing our new Salty Snacks ERP system in October,” said Michele Buck, The Hershey Company President and Chief Executive Officer.

“As we exit the year, our retail teams are building impactful displays to engage consumers and drive demand while we increase brand investment and partner with retailers to launch exciting innovation to get 2024 off to a fast start.”
