Sacmi chocolate and packaging confirms Gulfood appearance

Italian-based SACMI packaging and chocolate has confirmed its exhibition plans for this year’s Gulfood Manufacturing event in Dubai, with a broad showcase of its technologies, reports Neill Barston.

The company, which will be appearing at Hall 3, stand S3-C34) for the event taking place between 8-10 November, will be offering complete solutions for the chocolate preparation and moulding market.

As the business explained to Confectionery Production, its machinery lines under the Carle&Montanari brand  have placed a strong emphasis on delivering versatility and sustainability first, in line with the requirements of its of global base of customers.

It has also focused its secondary packaging of chocolate and other food sector segments under its OPM brand, with a raft of automated features being particular hallmarks of the group, along with a core focus on versatility and consistency.

The company’s lines  also deliver solutions are designed with sustainability at their core, and respond specifically to the latest market trends. Among these, the new HTB wrapping machine for chocolate tablets, a machine that targets major advances in the approach to wrapping technologies, thanks to high-level electronics that replaces a purely mechanical design concept.

With HTB, the concepts of time, pressure and temperature in the sealing area become part of a continuous and adaptive flow in relation to the specific wrapping material, traditional or eco-sustainable. In addition to high performance – up to 250 tablets per minute – HTB combines maximum flexibility and accuracy of movements depending on product’s features and wrapping materials.

In particular, thanks to the flexible sealing system, maximum freedom/adaptation to different materials is guaranteed, with “gentle handling” guaranteed even for the most delicate products.  It also features a reduced footprint, “mirrored” layout and ergonomic design – from the particular cantilevered structure that limits the storage of materials to interlocking – complete the framework, for a solution that is easy to maintain and integrate on existing lines.

The self-diagnosis kit is also available, as well as the possibility of connecting the machine directly to the SACMI assistance services, for predictive and proactive maintenance management. HTB follows in the wake of a new approach to the design of wrapping machines and flowpack packaging, with which SACMI Packaging & Chocolate welcomes the challenge of sustainability, working daily with the main producers of eco-friendly wrapping materials such as paper-based compostables and bio-polymeric materials.
