UK-based Ingredients supplier Henley Bridge has named Adrian Dodds as its sales director to help drive the company’s continued growth.
He has previously enjoyed a similar senior role at European bakery group Lantmannen Unibake, and has pledged to renew strategic focus of his new company.
As Henley Bridge noted, it has experienced exponential growth in the last two years, bucking the trend by coming out of Covid strongly, and is now looking to build on this success. It has continued to enhance its product portfolio, including within the chocolate and snacks sector, as previously reported by Confectionery Production.
“Henley Bridge is a very well-respected business with a fantastic product offer, unrivalled service and a broad and loyal customer base,” says Dodds.
“The company has major growth ambitions, with a bigger group (Kent Foods) behind it for financial muscle, but there remains the autonomy and scope to be part of taking the business forward.
“My immediate priorities in role will include capitalising on business growth opportunities, as well as developing the existing sales structure and longer-term strategy, all of which will support our continued development as a leading ingredient supplier.”
Tracey Hughes, Managing Director of Henley Bridge, added that the business would be drawing on its new director’s experience to play a pivotal role in delivering further growth.
She said: “We’re a positive bunch, but we were delighted to beat even our own expectations on growth in 2021 in spite of the fact we lost three months of business as a result of the Covid lockdown. We also launched 1,500 new products during that period, which was ground-breaking in itself.
“As a business, we’re in very good shape. We have extremely ambitious sales targets for 2022 and we’re confident Adrian will play a key role in achieving them.”
