Hershey unveils KitKat thins range for US customers, targeting ‘on the go’ markets

US customers of Kit Kat are in for something of a treat with the arrival of of its latest thins range, which are produced in the region under licence by The Hershey group.

As the business explained, the latest edition to the classic range features only two, light and crispy wafers and thinner than the standard bars, which has three layers of wafers.

According to the company, Kit Kat Thins have have been devised for on-the-go snacking with their individually wrapped packaging, and are available nationwide in 3.4 and 7.2 oz. bags (SRP $2.39 and $3.89).

The latest release follows in the wake of Reese’s thins, which were released in 2019, and were among the company’s key lines showcased at the last Sweets and Snacks Expo held in Chicago that year.

Originally created in the Uk by Rowntree’s, as the Rowntree’s Chocolate Crisp in the mid 1930s, with the business being acquired by Nestle in 1988. Hershey has had a licence to produce KitKat since 1970, which it continues to do as the range adapts to ever-evolving customer demands.
