Macpac gains additional CE certification for its face visors for coronavirus medical teams

UK thermoformed packaging specialist Macpac has gained additional full CE certification for its range of visors produced for care workers tackling the coronavirus pandemic.

Last month the business made the move to assist with protective kit on a not-for-profit basis, with supplies of such equipment reportedly in short supply within Britain, which has among the highest recorded levels of covid-19 cases in Europe.

The visor has undergone stringent testing and validation over the past few weeks achieving the CE mark to Regulation & Technical Specification: PPE for Healthcare Professionals 2020/403 for Eye Protection. It had already been authorised by the MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency) on device compliance.

Designed to sit away from the face at an angle allows the use of glasses or protective goggles and face masks. The hygienic design means that the Visor can be washed or wiped down easily for re-use if required.

Made from 100% recyclable material the visor offers a highly cost-effective solution for medical professionals or personal use.

Produced at Macpac’s BRC AA grade accredited manufacturing site means the items can be produced in high volume on Macpac’s modern high-speed thermoforming machines.
