World Confectionery Conference continues to gather pace for 2021 event

With a little over six months before our revised date for the World Confectionery Conference, the event is entering the final stages of planning for what should prove a memorable event celebrating the entire value chain of the industry.

While we were all keenly awaiting the original date which would have seen it staged this September in Brussels, circumstances very much outside of our own control with the coronavirus pandemic have meant we will be seeing you all next year.

So please place Friday 26 March 2021 firmly in your diaries, as there will be plenty to look forward to, including the accompanying World Confectionery Awards, which will highlight some of the best and brightest developments from across the industry amid what has been a year full of unexpected surprises.

One of the key reasons to attend will of course be the chance to soak up plenty of individual company stories and broader sector insights from our speaker programme, which we are now in the process of finalising.

There’s a notably strong line-up which will include keynote presentations from Europe’s confectionery, biscuits and snacks trade body Caobisco, as well as industry trends unveiled by leading intelligence organisation Innova Market Insights, Fairtrade, as well as our very own Confectionery Production board member Andy Baxendale, who will be placing a spotlight on the need for greater training for the next generation of manufacturers.

In terms of our wider programme, Cargill, a key sponsor for our industry showcase will also be offering some valuable observations on the state of the industry, as businesses continue to grapple with testing operating conditions around the world.

Equipment and systems businesses including Cama, Baker Perkins and Extrugroup, Krohne and WRH Industries, will be joined by leading ingredients, finished product and solutions specialists such as GNT, TasteTech, Paradise Fruits, and Luker Chocolate, in delivering an engaging programme that we believe is set to both entertain and enlighten our expected visitors from across the global industry.

So please do get in touch with our event manager Kyra O’Sheen at [email protected] to register as either a visitor, or discuss our last few positions on our speaker programme.
