BOPP producer Poligal has chosen BOBST as the partner for its new metalliser that will be installed at its site in Portugal. The new machine will help improve efficiency in the recent extension to its Portuguese operations, where BOPP and CPP films are produced.

The General K5000 2850 with BOBST AlOx capability will be the first to be supplied in Europe for the BOPP market due to the increasing demand for high barrier transparent film to satisfy consumer requirements for product visibility and a longer shelf life.

Poligal has chosen the K5000 because of its innovative process approach that enables switching rapidly from standard aluminium to AlOx metallising at the touch of a button.
