Is wine or milk most crucial when snowed in?

We have all emerged from the deep snowdrifts of England with slight cabin fever and debates on what is most crucial to be stocked up on when you are snowed in – bread and milk or copious amounts of wine. I think the office debate settled firmly on the latter, especially if it incorporated chocolate.
While I have been stuck in the remote UK countryside, thinking about whether it is handy or a bit annoying to be able to do all your work from home, the world keeps turning and the confectionery industry moves forward. So here are your latest news stories along with a quick reminder to get everything to me for the joint December/January issue by the end of this week.
