Ferrero to open Mexican plant

27 February 2012 –  The President of the Mexican Republic, Felipe Calderon, has announced that Ferrero will invest $190 million  for building a new plant at the Parque Opcòn industrial park, in San Josè Iturbide in the State of Guanajuato in Mexico.

The new production plant will manufacture new Kinder and Nutella products, for the local market and for export to North America (US and Canada). The plant will start its production from May 2013 and, when at full rate, it will employ 500 persons besides the 600 already working for B.U. Ferrero de Mexico, with the purpose to further grow in the years to come.
