Belgian premium brand Guylian has returned to the festive confectionery fray with its latest Christmas advent calendar that has gained retail listings in an expanded range of UK stores, writes Neill Barston,

The company’s latest release celebrates the season with  24 days of pure  indulgence, blending new sea salt caramel seahorses, alongside its original pralines that have been its signature for decades.

As the brand explains, it has set out to blend  traditional craftsmanship, premium ingredients, and sustainable values, allied to distinctive recyclable packaging. It has been extended with its retail distribution now including UK Sainsbury’s stores.

The latest advent calendar also features Milk Truffle Seahorses, and are made from 100% Fairtrade cocoa and naturally sourced ingredients, with each chocolate is a celebration of Belgian chocolate artistry. The business has continued to pursue the legacy set in 1958 by chocolatier Guy Foubert and his fiancée, Lilianne.

The Guylian Advent Calendar has been delivered across major stockists including Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, Ocado, B&M, and Amazon from 6th October for a recommended pricing of £15.

As the business explained, manufacturing for the brand has remained consistent, with its production facilities in Sint-Niklaas being home to Master Chocolatiers producing over 800 million chocolates a year in a 100% climate-neutral, 27,000m²  facility.

Notably, as the business explained, this has helped ensure its position as one of Belgium’s leading chocolate brands. Guylian employs around 200 people in Sint-Niklaas and has offices in the UK and Germany. Guylian is sold in more than 120 countries including Europe, Asia, Australia and America and is in the top 10 best-selling pre-packaged chocolate brands.

The company has expanded into exporting around the world, in  supermarkets, convenience stores, delis, petrol stations, and newsagents. Furthermore, the firm has also released exclusive duty free collections.
