Australia’s Tim Tam confectionery brand makes waves in the UK

Australian confectionery favourite Tim Tam has confirmed a global first for supermarkets in introducing a twin pack into Tesco Express stores, following heightened consumer demand, reports Neill Barston.

The key regional brand landed in the UK from its native Oz last year, and has been attracting strong interest, according to manufacturers of the established confectionery series.

Consequently, the indulgent treat will be available as a snack in the Tesco Meal Deal, or on its own, from 26th October in selected Tesco Express stores.

Tesco Meal Deals are an intrinsic part of British culture, and with snack-sized packs arriving on UK shelves, Tim Tam can now be enjoyed on the move, adding a commute-friendly chocolatey biscuit moment to the day.

The product’s arrival included a key launch for its white variety last year, that the company believed had paved the way for further launches.

Speaking on the launch of that series, Amber Dutkiewicz, Tim Tam Market Development Manager, noted: “It’s been great to see the overwhelmingly positive response to the launch of Tim Tam in the UK. With the demand from consumers on social media, we knew it was time to bring the irresistible Tim Tam White to the UK. We can’t wait for Brits to finally try it.”
