World Cocoa Foundation appoints Mondelēz’s Christine McGrath as its chairman
The World Cocoa Foundation (WCF) has confirmed the appointment of Christine McGrath, chief impact and sustainability officer at Mondelēz International, as the industry organisation’s new chairman, writes Neill Barston.
As the sector body noted, she has more than two decades of experience in the global food industry, with a strong focus on delivering sustainable initiatives, innovation, and growth, and is one of its longest-serving board members.
The WCF represents a broad cross section of the cocoa industry, with its membership including many of the largest confectionery and cocoa businesses within the global industry.
Furthermore, in addition to McGrath’s appointment, WCF has appointed two new Board Officers: Kojo Amoo-Gottfried, Cargill Managing Director – Cocoa and Chocolate NA and Indulgence and Tejinder Singh Saraon – MD and CEO, ofi Cocoa. Tricia Brannigan, The Hershey Company’s VP, Chief Procurement Officer, continues in her role as Board Officer. They will work with WCF’s management team and staff to advance the organisation’s mission to promote a sustainable and thriving cocoa sector.
