A festive greeting for World Confectionery Conference 2023 plans

Following in the wake of extremely positive feedback from our first live format World Confectionery Conference in Brussels, we can confirm it is set to return next year in Belgium.

With its strong focus on sustainability right across the complete value chain of our industries, we were greatly encouraged by the response to our vibrant industry showcase.

It followed on from our initial event held online amid the pandemic last year, that provided the perfect springboard for our return to live events – which all those who attended believed had been sorely missed during the past two years.

Delivering the chance to enable some quality personal connections for businesses and individual attendees from around the globe proved a notably enjoyable experience for all. If you have yet to catch a review of our edition this year, you can catch our exclusive video review here.

So, set a date for your diary of 14 September, 2023 back in Brussels, for the 2023 edition of the World Confectionery Conference. With market conditions offering plenty of tests and opportunities, we fully anticipate will be every bit as en- gaging as this year’s event in addressing the key topics that matter to our sectors.

Furthermore, we’re fully anticipating the return of our debut World Confectionery Awards, which proved a notable highlight for our event this September.

It offered a prime chance to recognise some of the many talented businesses and teams who have worked to produce some excellent results throughout the industry.

As this year’s conference revealed, there remain some significant challenges across all spheres of industry, which we’ll address with the programme that will be revealed in the coming months.

Being set once again in one of the chocolate capitals of the world (the city’s Grand Place pictured in the main image), we will look forward to warmly welcoming you all to discuss, debate and explore the most pressing issues of our times.

Speaking on next year’s plans, editor Neill Barston, commented: “This year’s event in Brussels felt like a real celebration amid testing times, so it was extremely heartening to see the warm response to our collective efforts in Belgium.

“Brussels made us very welcome indeed, so my personal thanks to all those who contributed to making our 2022 show a genuine success, including the exhibitors, sponsors and of course visitors, who all helped make the difference to it being a highly memorable occasion.”

Our next event can only be as successful as the input we receive from right across the sector, so we welcome your engagement with next year’s plans at the earliest opportunity.

Registration for our 2023 event will be opening shortly, but for initial editorial enquiries and suggestions, please contact editor Neill Barston at [email protected] and sponsorship and advertising enquiries to event manager Amy Best at [email protected]
