A dynamic line-up for our World Confectionery Conference has now been completed, with the final addition of SFI Agri Commodities, specialists in lines including cocoa, soya beans and cashew nuts, operating with a key focus on sustainable sourcing, reports Neill Barston.

The business will be represented by Olasunkanmi Owoyemi, group managing director, with the company’s inclusion within our event coming at a pivotal point for the broader sector.

With ingredients pricing being firmly on the wider sector’s agenda, balancing the needs of manufacturing operations against consumers’ desire for greater transparency and sustainability credentials has become one of the wider industry’s hottest topics.

This year’s World Confectionery Conference taking place on 10 September at America Square in London, will place this key issue among its topics, alongside industry innovation and resilience at its core.

Among its line-up, we will feature keynotes from Caobisco European confectionery trade body, Cargill, and major insights from our knowledge partner, Euromonitor International, supporting an action-packed day of discussion and debate, placing core sector challenges on the table.

Our event also features the returning World Confectionery Awards, with the final deadline for entries this month, so please do place your entries – which are entirely free to participate, via our dedicated website at confectioneryconference.com under the awards tab.

Registration for this year’s event is fully open via our dedicated conference website, so we welcome attendees from right across the full spectrum of the industry, from finished product specialists, ingredients and equipment companies, through to supply chain workers within closely related segments including the cocoa trade.

Editor Neill Barston commented: “There has been a significant effort right across our team in bringing together the line-up for this year’s World Confectionery Conference, which is fast shaping-up to be one of its most memorable editions yet.

“This will be our fifth live event, calling in on a new location in London, so we warmly welcome participants from our core readership, as well as from across the broader confectionery and snacking industry.

“From its inception, our event has set out to represent the full spectrum of the confectionery industry, and we remain grateful for those long-term contributors who have continued to support the conference, which remains an engaging and thought-provoking platform for our sector. We have packed plenty into this year’s edition, which we believe will have a broad appeal, so please do join us for what is sure to be both an entertaining and insightful showcase of some of the most pressing topics making the headlines of our combined industries in 2026.”
