Festive celebration for Syntegon’s additional German manufacturing hall

German headquartered Syntegon technology group has made a core investment into its production facilities, adding a new assembly hall for its Food Horizontal business in Remshalden, reports Neill Barston.
A festive inauguration ceremony was led by CEO Torsten Türling, and included project partners FP die Generalplaner and APS Bau, celebrating the expansion of the company’s capabilities.
The manufacturer has continued to operate across the broader spectrum of the industry, with confectionery and snacks being a strong area of focus for its operations.
As the business explained, the new hall marks an important step in the site’s modernisation and reinforces Syntegon’s strategy to expand capacity and strengthen its position as a technology leader and strategic lifecycle partner in the growing food packaging market.
“This project is a strong symbol of our momentum over recent years,” said CEO Torsten Türling.
“It shows that our strategy meets customer needs and is delivering. With this new assembly hall, we are creating the foundation to scale technological innovation, expand production for our food customers, and offer employees a modern, future-ready work environment.”

Syntegon’s Food Horizontal business secures a leading market position through a holistic line-solution approach, seamlessly integrating advanced secondary and end-of-line technologies to optimise customer operations. Demand for Syntegon’s solutions has continued to rise.
Notably, for the Remshalden site near Stuttgart, sales have nearly doubled since 2022, pushing existing infrastructure to its limits. The new hall now provides space for around 25 additional employees and adds 1,200 square meters of contiguous assembly area, the largest at the site, significantly enhancing capacities, especially for end-to-end line projects.
Furthermore, a photovoltaic system installed across the entire roof further supports Syntegon’s sustainability ambitions.
“This investment reflects our confidence in the market, in our strategy, and most importantly, in our people,” emphasised Bruno Oberle. Nearly four million euros were invested in the construction project.
Construction began at the end of October 2024 and finished just over a year later, six weeks ahead of schedule.
“The early completion is the result of excellent collaboration, smooth planning, and a consistently solution-focused approach from all partners,” said site manager Sebastian Kühne. Project manager Ferdinand Stummer added: “The positive experience with our partners was compelling. We have also entrusted APS Bau with our upcoming office renovation as well.”
