Endangered Species Chocolate claims industry first with ocean plastic neutral status

US premium confectionery brand, Endangered Species Chocolate (ESC), has claimed what is believed to be a sector first in becoming certified as ocean plastic neutral, after linking-up with non-profit organisation 4-Ocean, focused on water-based clean-up operations, reports Neill Barston.

Having newly rebranded as Sigep World, the major event for the foodservice sector is set to place a significant spotlight on developments across the bakery, confectionery, gelato and pizza market segments. The event, held in Rimini, Italy, has traditionally offered a strong platform for its domestic businesses, but is attracting a growing number of international participants.
