Continuing a summer season of confectionery launches, Ferrero’s Kinder series has made two new releases for its Joy brand, including a 10th anniversary celebration of Netflix’s Stranger Things, writes Neill Barston.

As the company explained, ‘something new is coming from Hawkins’ – the fictional town from the hit screen series, with each egg confectionery egg holds two sides: one packed with a creamy, chocolate treat with crispy cocoa-filled wafer bites, and the other concealing one of 24 Stranger Things-themed surprises from Funko, from mini toys to clip accessories.

According to the company, characters span the full run of the series from beloved heroes Eleven, Max, and Dustin in his iconic Thinking Cap, to the series’ iconic villains including Demogorgons and Vecna rendered in Funko’s signature style.

Real-world minis sit alongside their Upside Down counterparts, crafted in striking detail like shimmering iridescent finishes and iconic ’80s props such as Dustin’s walkie talkie and Max’s Walkman—making every toy as visually distinctive as the series itself.

Following swiftly in its wake this month, Kinder Joy has also released its Joy Fairies and Friends, and Dinosaurs & Dragons series, featuring 48 new surprise toys to discover.

Each egg contains a surprise themed offering specifically designed to spark imagination and extend playtime through assembly and interactive engagement.

The Fairies & Friends Collection features dolls include figurines, and matching accessories, while its Dinosaurs & Dragons Collection has a variety of dragon and dinosaur toys, action figures, and accessories that encourage exploration beyond the initial surprise.
