Bühler gears-up for interpack with chocolate and confectionery processing lines

The Swiss headquartered Bühler equipment and systems group has reported key progress in its build-up to this year’s global interpack event, with major machinery upgrades to be revealed in Düsseldorf, Germany, writes Neill Barston.  

Following on from its last appearance at the pivotal industry showcase three years, ago the major sector business, which has continued to produce ranges for the chocolate and snacking segments is anticipating showcasing fresh machinery for the latest iteration of the event between 7-13 May.

Consequently, the company has confirmed it is set to launch a host of upgraded solutions and innovations for the confectionery and wider, food and drink markets at Interpack 2026.

As the Uzwil-based business noted, it has lived by its motto of “Delivering delight in every bite”, the Swiss family-owned company, and its solutions are assisting developing the shape of the sector in years to come.

He said: “This year, it is showcasing seamless solutions for bean-to-bar chocolate processing, as well as fully integrated solutions from grain to a wide variety of delicious snacks.

“For us at Bühler, everything we do goes beyond technology. We want to enhance performance, increase efficiency, and contribute to sustainability for our customers – readying them to remain successful in volatile markets and open new business opportunities.”

The firm is inviting visitors to experience its latest innovations, exchange on industry trends and opportunities, and indulge on some of the many delicious products produced on its machines.

Since Interpack 2023, Bühler’s engineers have been in close collaboration with its customers to develop myriad innovations and upgrades to existing technologies, which will be revealed at Interpack.

Among them, a next generation of cocoa nib roasting – powered by advanced energy efficiency, a breakthrough cooling concept, and smart roaster control.

It will also present a modular chocolate moulding line that reportedly significantly reduces time‑to‑market and can be seamlessly expanded as demand grows.

There will also be significant upgrades to its conche and five‑roll refiner, delivering new levels of performance, usability, and efficiency in chocolate production. The company will be demonstrating its reinvented compact and modular processing line that seamlessly combines mixing and single‑pass ball mill grinding for chocolate compounds, spreads, and coatings.

On the bakery side, the business will also be showcasing an enhanced version of our proven indirect‑fired convection oven, perfect for biscuits, cookies, pizzas, and so much more. Its advanced wafer baking oven, boosting quality and flexibility while reducing energy consumption by up to 50 per cent, will also come under the spotlight.

Moreover, the company is also set to unveil a new generation of extrusion technology, which it regards as a must‑see for every food and feed producer and those looking to expand their product range.
