The German headquartered Ritter Sport Group has confirmed a major deal for the acquisition of US-based Creative Natural Products business, which includes its Chocolove brand, writes Neill Barston.

As the premium chocolate business noted, uniting the two family-owned companies made for a strong proposition given their shared foundation of values and dedication to producing quality confectionery.

Furthermore, the two firms have also developed a strong reputation for responsible production from their respective locations in  Waldenbuch, Germany, and Creative Natural Products’ locations operating from Chicago and Boulder, Colorado.

“We are thrilled to join the Ritter Sport family. Ritter Sport shares our deep commitment to crafting chocolate with integrity,” said Timothy Moley, Founder & CEO of Creative Natural Products, Inc.

“Together, we can reach more consumers, accelerate growth, and further strengthen ethical and sustainable practices.”

Ralf Hilpüsch, CEO of Ritter Sport USA, Inc, which made a notable appearance at this year’s Sweets & Snacks Expo in Indianapolis (pictured main image), believed the deal would have strong mutual benefits.

He said: “This acquisition marks a decisive step in our ambition to build a strong and influential presence in the U.S. chocolate market,” said . “By bringing these two purpose-driven premium brands together, we are not only expanding our scale – we are demonstrating our long-term commitment to shaping a more dynamic and competitive premium chocolate category.

“Together, our brands are positioned to deliver greater impact, more choice, and enhanced value to the U.S. market than ever before,” Hilpüsch added of the key US deal.

Notably, Chocolove will continue to manufacture in Boulder, CO. As part of Ritter Sport USA, Inc., the brand will gain expanded opportunities, while ensuring continuity for customers, employees, and partners.
