William Whitaker, MD of Whitakers Chocolates, welcomes investment into its site that has delivered a new Brazil nut line.

Key investment in production facilities has been at the core of delivering Whitakers Chocolates latest milk chocolate Brazil nuts confectionery series, writes Neill Barston.

As the company explained, its fresh release has been possible through a dedicated nut processing facility at its Snaygill site in Skipton, Yorkshire, which has been an integral part of the company’s history.

The business, which has over 135 years of history, has recently become part of the Bramble Foods Group, and is reportedly continuing to enjoy strong fortunes under new parent ownership.

Moreover, as the business noted, its latest investment safeguards its  existing BRC AA* accredited factory, ensuring the continued production of its much-loved core chocolate range.

According to the business, its latest facility will pave the way for a pipeline of new product innovations – from dark chocolate Brazils (set to launch April 2026) as well as other key confectionery lines including marzipan, nougat, and Turkish delight.

Managing Director, William Whitaker, commented: “This investment hasn’t come lightly, especially with the unpredictability within the cocoa market. However, with the support of our parent company, Bramble Foods Group, our long-held ambition to create a dedicated nut processing facility has now become a reality. This will not only enhance our range of seasonal chocolates but will also open the doors to exciting new own-label opportunities.”

The first product to roll off the new production line is the double enrobed Milk Chocolate Brazil Nuts – the ultimate in chocolate indulgence, launching just in time for the festive season. Combining premium whole Brazil nuts with a rich, smooth double coating of Whitakers’ signature milk chocolate, this product is set to become a seasonal favourite.
