KitKat offers special limited edition peanut butter chunky edition

KitKat has bolstered its portfolio with the addition of a new chunky variety flavour in peanut butter flavour, which is being made available as a special edition, writes Neill Barston.
As the brand noted, there is now set to be a ‘battle of the breaks’ with an expanded array of options available, with its latest line featuring a crispy wafer completed by hazelnut spread and milk chocolate.
KitKat Assistant Brand Manager, for the Nestle-owned business, Torin Zieboll, said: “It’s been three long years since KitKat Chunky Hazelnut was on sale in the UK, and we couldn’t resist bringing it back for chocolate fans to indulge in a little nutty decadence and turn up the heat on KitKat Chunky Peanut Butter, who has reigned supreme for more than a decade.”
“I’m keen to hear which flavour KitKat Chunky fans prefer this time around. While KitKat Chunky Peanut Butter holds a special place in my heart, I’ll be taking a break from the classic for now and mixing it up with a KitKat Chunky Hazelnut. I’d encourage anyone who didn’t get the chance to try it last time to give it a whirl.”
Since launching in 1999, KitKat Chunky has introduced many exciting, limited-edition bars to delight fans including Salted Caramel Popcorn, Cookie Dough, Coconut, Chocolate Fudge and New York Cheesecake. Like all Nestlé confectionery products in the UK and Ireland, the KitKat Chunky range has been made with 100% certified sustainable cocoa since 2015.
Through Nestlé’s income accelerator programme, the company is now helping cocoa farmers in Cote D’Ivoire move towards a living income in two ways: farmers are rewarded for good agricultural practices, such as pruning trees, which can significantly improve crop productivity. And they receive incentives to establish additional sources of income – such as growing other crops or keeping livestock. KitKat Chunky Hazelnut has an RRP of 70p and is available in supermarkets and convenience stores nationwide now.
