Hershey strikes a magical partnership for Harry Potter confectionery

A magical combination has been weaved between Hershey and Warner Brothers for the confectionery brand’s milk chocolate bars and Kisses ranges featuring Harry Potter, reports Neill Barston.

The movie franchise, which has continued to be embraced around the world, and led to the creation of studio experience rides, as well as subsequent spin-offs on screen and in print, is continuing to prove big business in the sweets stakes.

As Hershey noted, its latest series includes ‘a spellbinding limited edition’ of its Kisses foils, including Sorting House themes, as well as allowing fans to relive memorable quotes from the series with Magical Moments foils. There are also other special objects from the series, including the Sorcerer’s Stone, Harry’s birthday cake.

The company is also releasing its  limited-edition 12 magically inspired package designs with imprinted images onto the milk chocolate such as wands, brooms, and eyeglasses.

Packaging highlights significant symbols from the film series, including the Hogwarts™ Express, Hedwig the Owl, Ron Weasley’s flying car, designed to appeal to collectors.

These limited-edition Hershey’s x Harry Potter bars and Hershey’s Kisses candies are available now at retailers nationwide across the US, in individual bars or 6-packs of 1.55 oz Hershey’s bars and 9.5 oz bags of Kisses candies.

As Confectionery Production previously reported, the major series release comes in the wake of its key series of launches at this year’s Sweets & Snacks Expo in Chicago, which showcased a particularly strong line-up across the company’s wider portfolio.
