Crave follows Channel 4 screen success with Ocado listing

After recently gaining a valuable win with Channel 4’s Aldi’s Next Big Thing, snacks brand Crave has achieved a key listing with the Ocado online supermarket, writes Neill Barston.
Its vegan series Pickled Onion Monster Feet and Smokey Bacon Flavoured Streakers which is also free from allergens, was picked up by the retailer, offering the Kent-based manufacturer a significant boost in building the business.
It follows a similar success for the brand in gaining a listing in Asda stores, as well as angel investment in the company and new product development in the pipeline.
The founder of Crave, Rob Brice (pictured on the recent Aldi screen show) enthused that the Ocado listing is a great finish to the year and the company is thrilled with the consumer and retailer response to the snacks.
“This listing will widen our customer base and mean that more people will have access to Crave’s vegan and free from snacks. We are looking to expand our range of products in 2023, some super iconic products will be given the Crave twist!”
In a highly competitive snack market, Crave has found a niche for emulating well known and loved products suitable for everyone whether their choices are limited by lifestyle or dietary reasons. “We are all about inclusivity at Crave, we think crisps should be about maximum taste and sharing with friends and family, so we are striving to make free-from mainstream and flavour focused, rather than hard to find or bland and boring,” adds Rob.
Charmaine Trotman, buying manager – Free From at Ocado Retail says: “We’re delighted to be adding Crave’s vegan snacks to Ocado.com – just in time for Veganuary. With a larger range of vegan products than any UK supermarket, we’re excited that our customers will be able to get their hands on Crave’s tasty products as part of their regular food shop.”
Crave’s Pickled Onion Monster Feet and Smokey Flavoured Streakers will be listed with Ocado RRP £1.85 for an 80g sharing bag.
