Plans for our latest edition of the World Confectionery Conference this autumn are rolling forward with real purpose, as we welcome a dynamic range of speakers to the event, which promises to be another special highlight in our annual industry calendar.
We’ve some especially strong speakers for this year’s show on October 5, which has taken some co-ordinating, including contributions from Caobisco European trade body for the confectionery industry, plus major businesses including Cargill, Ferrero, Nestlé, sector insights from FMCG Gurus, and supply chain reflections from Fairtrade. We also have significant contributions from equipment, systems and ingredients companies such as MacIntyre, Royal Duyvis Wiener, Cama, Baker Perkins, GNT, Plamil Foods, Ghana Cocoa Board, Luker Chocolate. As previously, this eclectic line-up reflects the complete value chain of the sector, placing sustainability, business resilience and innovation at its heart.
So here’s a quick call out to all our subscribers to take note of a special e-shot that’s coming your way in extending our early bird registration, which offers an extremely strong value offer and take part in our latest live show, which also includes an accompanying awards presentation. It makes a major difference to our planning to have registrations in advance of the event, so I would urge anyone interested to get in touch as a priority. Last year’s show saw an encouragingly diverse assembly of the industry, ranging from a host of independent businesses, through to major corporations, which gave us confidence that there has been genuine enthusiasm for our show, which is reflected in its line-up.
With so many developments afoot within the industry, from legislation on supply chains, regulations impacting on imports and exports, as well as well documented wider tests within the marketplace, this year’s event will have plenty of common areas for discussion.
So, with in-person events very much back on the map after the challenges of the past couple of years, we look forward to welcoming as many of you as possible to this year’s show in its home for this year in the UK. There’s also the added bonus of our optional activity day of chocolate making led by York Cocoa House on 6 October – with its managing director Sophie Jewett also speaking at the conference day on the 5th, so make sure you don’t miss out there – please use the following link to register for the activity day here – www.yorkcocoahouse.co.uk/pages/world-confectionery-conference-2023 and be sure to take advantage of the early bird rate on our 5th October main conference date through our subscribers’ e-shot.
