Gulfood set for major industry showcases

With just a few days before this year’s Gulfood Manufacturing takes place in Dubai, and final preparations for the event are being put into place, as the global sector gathers to celebrate a broad array of new developments.

From new equipment ranges offering bespoke solutions for the UAE and wider north African and Asian equipment market, through to the latest trends in sweets and snacks from its companion  show, yummex, it’s set to prove a memorable few days.

Putting it in context, the confectionery market for the region is set to reach $800 million by 2021, making it a serious player in the global industry, ably demonstrating just how popular the show appears to be on an annual basis.

This year is likely to prove no exception to that rule, with major manufacturers across the sector once again signing up for the three-day event, for which Confectionery Production is an official media partner.

So please get in touch with any of your show news for the event, be it new product releases, or wider solutions for the sector, or if you’d like to meet up during the trade fair, then I’ll do my level best to see you if time permits. There will certainly be no shortage of intriguing developments that should form conversation points for how the sector is developing within the region.

We shall be putting together a full round-up of the event for our following edition of the magazine, so here’s hoping that our paths will cross in the Middle East in just a short while.
