Schubert UK celebrates 10 years
20 July 2012 – Schubert UK, a subsidiary of Gerhard Schubert will be celebrating 10 years of business in the UK this year. With a decade of continual growth and success in the packaging industry, the occasion is set to be marked by a number of events for both employees and customers.
The Meriden based company won their first machine order in September 2002, to supply a packaging system for Unilever, formerly known as Lever Faberge. The line was installed at the Seacroft site in Leeds to pack deodorants. Following the success of the first line, Unilever placed a repeat machine order with Schubert just 12 months later. Subsequent capacity for major format changes has highlighted the flexibility of the Schubert solution.
The UK subsidiary has since won numerous orders for many well known food manufacturers in the UK and Ireland; recent machine installations include Burtons Biscuits Co, Patak’s, and Tunnocks.
