Strawberry Stars

11 May 2012 – Wild has introduced a range of natural flavours for fruit gums, milk cream fillings and ice cream. The flavours each show distinct strawberry profiles. Thus, they enable manufacturers to target regional taste preferences.

Be it fruit gums, milk cream fillings or ice cream – strawberry flavour is very popular with consumers. "Because consumers of different regions prefer different tastes, we have developed a selection of strawberry flavours with distinctive sensory profiles," says Birgit Braun, product manager at Wild. Thus, Wild can offer several strawberry varieties and can optimally serve different regional taste preferences. Another advantage is that the Strawberry Stars products comply with the trend towards natural flavours.

For the confectionery industry, strawberry is one of the most important flavours, for example for fruit gums. For this sweet treat, Wild has now created five distinct strawberry flavors.

The range also includes strawberry flavours for milk cream fillings. In this application area, especially the combination of chocolate with fruity flavours is en vogue, and strawberry is most commonly applied. Manufacturers can choose from four different Strawberry Stars.

In addition, strawberry flavors for ice cream have been developed. They are also available in four taste varieties. Besides vanilla and chocolate, strawberry is the most popular flavour in the ice cream market.
