ADM enters new markets

8 May 2012 – ADM Cocoa is expanding into the gourmet sector, with a line of cocoa products developed for artisan bakers and chefs. Launching into the Asian market, the deZaan Gourmet collection includes Belgian chocolates, a single origins range and responsibly sourced cocoa, and has been designed to meet growing consumer demand for high quality cocoa products.

The collection includes dark, milk and white couverture chocolates, chocolate batons, pralines, cocoa powders, chocolate chips and cocoa butter.

The different products vary in flavour profile and rheology using different levels of cocoa solids and countries of origin, and can be used by chefs, pastry cooks, bakers, ice cream makers and chocolatiers.

The range contains cocoa that has been responsibly sourced through ADM’s flagship cocoa sustainability programme – Socially and Environmentally Responsible Agricultural Practices (SERAP). This initiative provides training and financial incentives to help cocoa farmers implement sustainable, responsible farming practices.

The range will be available in the Asia Pacific region.
