Grupo Bimbo names Palsgaard supplier of the year
16 December 2010 – Palsgaard has been named ‘Supplier of the Year’ by Grupo Bimbo for its role in helping the world’s largest bakery manufacturer develop new products in a safe and socially responsible way. The award was presented at a ceremony at Grupo Bimbo’s Barcel plant in Toluca, Mexico.
Javier Gonzalez, director of Bimbo, says, “With this award, Grupo Bimbo recognises Palsgaard for their supply of quality products, their level of technical service and their innovation capacity which has contributed to Grupo Bimbo fulfilling our objectives.”
Grupo Bimbo is the world’s largest bakery manufacturer producing more than 7,000 products in 98 plants across 17 countries, with employment totalling 102,000. The company has formed its own social responsibility programme.
