Cool investment at Zeina Foods

8 August 2010 – Zeina Foods, the UK supplier of nuts, seeds, dried fruits and confectionery items, has expanded its cool storage capacity by up to 70% by investing £1.7million in a new chill store.

Located directly opposite the company’s manufacturing facility in Ossett, UK, the new 30,000 square food purpose built cold room houses a selection of the company’s dried fruits including dates, Middle Eastern pastries, chocolate, macadamia nuts and walnuts. The result has been an ability to reduce carbon footprint, dramatically extend shelf life and reduce its need to outsource supply, which has often led to waste. Easier access to products also means that Zeina Foods can monitor stock and quality of produce more closely.
