Luxury confectioner bought by novelty manufacturer

Scottish premium chocolate brand Kshocolat has been bought by Welsh novelty sweets maker Bon Bon Buddies.

Kshocolat was put in administration last month, with the loss of 25 jobs.
Kshocolat’s products have been sold through retailers including John Lewis, Harvey Nichols, House of Fraser and Waitrose. Bon Bon Buddies will now invest in the brands to further develop the existing product range and increase distribution.

Chris Howarth, managing director of Bon Bon Buddies, says, “The KshocolÔ

¢t and Hot Choc brands will allow us to extend our market presence into the premium chocolate market in the UK and Europe.”
