Bühler confirms launch of its ContiMix extruder for IBA trade show

Swiss-based manufacturer Bühler has confirmed it will be launching its new presenting its ContiMix continuous twin-screw extruder at this year’s IBA event in Munich between 15-20 September.

According to the company, the equipment combines two crucial processes in the industrial production of bakery goods: mixing of the ingredients and kneading of dough.

In addition, Haas, which was acquired by Bühler last year, but remains an independent business unit, will be presenting its Swakt-Eco wafer baking oven with a new eco-friendly heating concept.

This is claimed to reduce gas consumption by up to 25%, and gives off up to 90 percent less emissions.

Between them, the two companies offer solutions across market segments including dough production, shaping, baking, as well as finishing.

Germar Wacker, CEO of Haas, together with Johannes Wick, CEO Grains & Food at Bühler, will present innovations and digital services at the major event in Munich.

During a special media event at the show, bakers will engage in the live production of innovative bakery produce that has been designed to showcase the best of one of the biggest trade fairs of the confectionery and bakery calendar.
