Registration begins for ProSweets 2019

The organisers of next year’s ProSweets Cologne have reportedly already received strong interest in the 2019 event, which will once again bring together the global confectionery industry.

Well-established companies and highly-qualified suppliers in this segment have already registered for what will be the 11th edition of the international trade fair for the sweets and snacks industry.

In total, over 300 companies from the sections manufacturing, packing and ingredients are once again expected in Cologne between 27-30 January 2019. ProSweets Cologne is accompanied by an extensive event programme, which includes for instance expert lectures in the “Speakers Corner” as well as diverse special events on the themes newcomers, ingredients and packaging.

Among those already confirmed are Vemag, Hänsel Processing GmbH, NETZSCH-Feinmahltechmik GmbH and Sollich KG from Germany, Bühler AG with Haas, and Knobel Maschinenbau AG from Switzerland, Carle & Montanari OPM Spa and for the first time the Tonelli Group S.p.A from Italy, GEA Food Solutions and Royal Duyvis Wiener B.V from the Netherlands as well as Aasted from Denmark.

Within packaging, Robert Bosch Packaging Technology GmbH, Fuji Packaging GmbH, Gerhard Schubert GmbH, CHOCAL, Loesch, Hastamat, and Theegarten-Pactec from Germany as well as ACMA Spa from Italy and Omori Europe from the Netherlands have already confirmed their participation.

The food quality and safety section also plays an important role within the industry. Here, among others, Hildebrand Industry AG from Switzerland and the newcomer Colussi Ermes from Italy are represented.

ProSweets Cologne is being staged parallel to ISM, the world’s largest and most important trade fair for sweets and snacks. With around 1,700 international exhibitors from 70 countries, this trade fair offers a unique overview of the new products worldwide and provides access to nearly 38,000 trade visitors from around 150 countries.

As at ISM the theme snacks plays an increasingly more important role at ProSweets Cologne. Of the currently registered companies, around 42 per cent offer products and solutions for the production and packing of the product sections fruit and vegetable snacks, savoury snacks and other types of snacks.

Together with ISM, ProSweets Cologne covers the entire value chain of the production and sales of sweets and snacks at the same time and place – a worldwide unique constellation.

The industry sponsors of ProSweets Cologne are the Federal Association of the German Sweets Industry (BDSI), Sweets Global Network (SG), the German Agricultural Society, and the Central College of the German Sweets Industry (ZDS).
