New Nestle UK co-packaging site opened

The new food packaging facilities at Nestle’s York site has been officially opened by York MP Hugh Bayley.

The IPS First factory has already created around 100 jobs and may eventually provide work for up to 200 people during busy periods. IPS will initially co-pack Nestle product from the York factory and will reduce the distance of goods being transported for packaging.
The move will cut the need for about 4,000 lorry journeys per year, equivalent to transporting goods around 300,000 lorry miles.
