James Cropper debuts food contact paper range

James Cropper has launched its first food contact-approved range of papers, aimed at the luxury market.

According to the company, the Dolcelicious paper range, which is suitable for contact with dry, moist and fatty foodstuffs, including confectionery, is designed to enhance the packaging experience for food brands.

Richard Burnett, market development manager at James Cropper, said, “We’ve been working on tailor-made solutions for a variety of brands within the food industry for some time and realised there is a growing demand for high-quality coloured papers in this sector.

“There’s a huge appetite to create something unique that stands out in this competitive industry, whether it’s high-end chocolatiers or speciality tea and coffee suppliers.”

The range is available in 11 colours, including Lemon Drizzle, Liquorice, Silver Spoon and Kiwi Fizz. James Cropper says the dyed through paper guarantees a flawless finish, whatever way the paper is cut or folded, resulting in coloured edges, folds and creases. Food producers are also able to ‘tailor’ the paper using embossing patterns.

Dolcelicious is manufactured in the UK to meet Regulation (EC) 1935/2004 and ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001 and OHSAS 18001 Standards. In addition, the Dolcelicious papers are FSC certified.
