Candyking to kickstart growth with new CEO

Pick & mix candy supplier Candyking has appointed Dani Evanoff as it new CEO as it looks to regain lost ground in the Nordic region and create growth.

Evanoff, who founded pick & mix company Candy Prince which was acquired by Candyking in 2008, replaces Fredrik von Oelreic.

Following the acquisition, Evanoff was part of the Candyking’s group management team for several years and he has since launched consumer goods concepts outside the company.

“We have not had the development anticipated in the Nordics and we see a need for change in order to regain market share,” says Candyking chairman Bernt Lindberg.

Under von Oelreic, Candyking restructured the business and relaunched its Parrots natural snacks. Based on this platform, the company says it will now strive for profitable growth.

“We will again become our customers’ first choice for pick & mix candy as well as other confectionary and snacks products,” notes Evanoff. “We have the infrastructure, the brand and soon also the speed to challenge competition for both pick & mix and prepacked products. It will be my and my team’s main task to regain the confidence of the Nordic customers.”

Candyking operates 8,000 outlets and offers stores a turnkey concept that includes products displays and accompanying store and logistic services. Its confectionery brands include Candyking, Karamellkungen and Candyking Favourites.
