Ingredient innovation centres

Ingredion has announced the launch of its Ingredion Idea Labs innovation centres across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Dedicated to fostering science-based collaboration and problem solving for food, beverage and industrial customers the labs are located in Hamburg, Manchester, Moscow, Dubai and Johannesburg. The five labs belong to a global network of 24 Ingredion Idea Labs, three of which were launched in the US earlier in the year with the rollout of the remaining 13 planned by year end.

Martin Sonntag, general manager and vice president of Ingredion in EMEA comments: “Our Idea Labs innovation centres in EMEA offer greater depth of services than ever before, and customers will have access to the expertise and research conducted in the labs and throughout the Ingredion Idea Labs network. Idea Labs offer local and regional collaboration, with a global reach to share efficiencies.

“By taking advantage of our consumer research and market insights our customers can align new product development with the needs of their markets. The labs can provide bespoke insights for cutting edge sensory analysis including mouth behaviours and texture testing. ”

The network of innovation centres in EMEA specialise in dairy, bakery, snacks, savoury, beverage, clinical infant nutrition and industrial segments. The centres will offer ideas and solutions to fuel innovation through consumer insights, applied research, know how and process technology.
