Dick Brittle joins Tangerine

Tangerine Confectionery, the UK’s largest independent confectionery company, has appointed industry veteran Dick Brittle as a non-executive director.

Brittle, 59, joins after retiring as a director of Hancock’s the UK’s largest confectionery only cash & carry. He has over 40 years’ knowledge of the UK and European trade and consumer confectionery market.
Commenting on his appointment, Brittle says, “With so many new developments on the horizon, it’s a key time to be joining Tangerine.” Steven Joseph, chairman of Tangerine Confectionery adds, “I am sure that Richard’s enthusiasm for the confectionery industry and his knowledge of the trade will be of immense value to Tangerine. He is a well known and much respected figure in the confectionery world.”
It is just over a year since Tangerine Confectionery’s £58 million (€65.6m) acquisition of Monkhill Confectionery from Cadbury Schweppes. The company operates seven sites and employs over 1,500 people across the country.
