Boosting productivity at PPMA

To help production managers explore the cost-effective alternatives to manually decorating products, Advanced Dynamics Ltd will be showcasing a range of innovative and versatile automated labelling, sleeving and feeding equipment at the PPMA Show in Birmingham, from 30 September to 2 October.

Some SMEs are reluctant to convert to automatic systems because of the perception that switching would take a significant chunk out of the capital budget. To compensate they still use manual resources for this repetitive and time consuming processes, which is prone to human error and draws staff away from more productive tasks.

At PPMA Advanced Dynamics will be exhibiting Pack Leader’s labelling equipment, which can be stand alone or be integrated into a line for a variety of container sizes, cartons and bottle shapes.

Sole UK distributor of Pack Leader’s fully-automated labelling systems, Advanced Dynamics will be promoting the entry level ELF-50 and ELF-20 desk-top top labellers for smaller production runs. Also sharing centre stage will be the flexible PL-221 top and base label application system, complete with thermal transfer loader, and the PRO-625 front and back labelling machine.

This labelling equipment has already taken the speciality food sector in the UK by storm, with manufacturers such as Divine Deli and Orchard Valley purchasing the compact ELF-50 table top labeller.

In addition Advanced Dynamics will also be demonstrating the latest sleeving technology – Pack Leader’s SL301 Shrink Sleeving system. This flexible, high speed equipment is designed for efficiency and accuracy.

To complete the Advanced Dynamics line-up at PPMA will be the new feeders from Köra-Packmat featuring the redesigned entry level EasyFeeder and the AdvancedFeeder with new servo driven buffer rake for batch counting products.

The EasyFeeder has a new control system for even easier set up and use as well as a new internal drive system. The Servo buffer rake for the AdvancedFeeder allows high speed operation, yet is extremely quiet and produces far less vibration than the traditional pneumatic system. Additionally it is extremely easy to set up and use for different sizes of product.

Advanced Dynamics’ managing director, Malcolm Little, says” “The PPMA exhibition is the perfect platform for us to demonstrate high quality, automatic labelling systems that can improve efficiency and transform a production line. Label applicators can mitigate the risks of adhesive issues, wrinkling, skewing and frayed edges – faults which delay production, cost money and lead to waste.”

Manufacturers are becoming increasingly aware of the economic and production benefits that affordable and high quality, automatic labelling equipment can bring to their operations. At PPMA visitors will be able to see for themselves why Advanced Dynamics believes its range of labelling systems offer the most cost-effective solutions for boosting profits.
